I see people saying time and time again that they quit their latest diet because it was too much hassle. The problem is that pretty much every diet I have ever seen was a hassle to follow so if you take that attitude then you’ll never lose weight! The question is, how much do you really want to lose weight? If you truly want something with all your heart then you aren’t going to let a little hard work stop you from getting it, nothing can get in your way. Motivation is the key to losing weight successfully. Sometimes you see amazing stories in the media about people losing half their bodyweight after dieting, and the only reason they succeed at that is because something has happened which motivates them enough for them to put in the hard work and stick to the diet.
Here are 3 ways to get yourself motivated:
The Ultimate Diet Guide – For Busy Women! No Starving, No Food Restrictions, No Gym Workouts Required!
Jennifer Jolan — “America’s #1 weight loss queen” — has done it again! This time, in the Ultimate Diet Guide, she shows you why all the other so-called diets that work fast for women are actually causing you to stay fat!
Here are some of the secrets inside this bestselling weight loss book:
- A common food that stops ALL overweight women from losing more than a few pounds no matter what you do!
- A psychological “trick” that is almost guaranteed to permanently keep lost weight off.
- How a simple “twist” on the old low carb diet can speed up…
Make a vision board: Start cutting out pictures of things that represent both what you will look like and what you will do when you have lost weight, and pictures of what you fear will happen if you don’t start losing weight. Now you need to find some sort of board to put them onto, if you are really struggling then a simple sheet of A4 paper is sufficient, and stick the positive images on one side, and the negative on the other with a big line through each to show you don’t want them to happen.
It might not sound like much, but now just with a quick glance at that board you can remind yourself why you are dieting, why you should stick to it and what might happen if you don’t. As the kitchen is usually the place where a diet is made or broken, then that is usually the best place to put it, make it visible as you prepare your meals at night so you aren’t tempted to cheat!
Keep track of things: I bet a lot of people don’t actually realize how much they weigh, or if they do then they don’t realize how much they should weigh, start taking some measurements to help shock and motivate yourself. The first step is to weight yourself on a normal pair of bathroom scales and then finding a BMI calculator online and inputting your details, that will tell you what your body mass index is and how good or bad that is. Now try to figure out your body fat percentage by using calipers you can buy online. By keeping an eye on those two figures, plus the circumference of your arms and legs, then you can see exactly how much progress you are making on your diet.
Hire a trainer to help: Paying to see a personal trainer once a week can be hugely motivating. Now there is somebody expecting you to make progress on your weight loss goals and who will not be afraid to tell you exactly what they think if you have been cheating. The main thing they will be doing though is forcing you to exercise which will help to tone up your body and burn calories too, but they can also look at your diet and gives tips on how to improve it. You may hate the idea of having a trainer pushing you constantly to lose weight, in which case just find a good diet like the one in this Fat Burning Furnace review and use the other two tips to keep yourself motivated.
